Role Description The Project Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Valsad, supporting the planning and execution of community development projects across BFC’s focus areas. This role involves coordinating field activities, engaging with community members and local partners, and assisting in the implementation of programs related to agriculture, climate resilience, enterprise development, and livelihoods.

The Project

Associate will collect and analyze data, support monitoring and evaluation, prepare project documentation and reports, and contribute to training sessions and workshops for youth, women, and other stakeholders. The role also includes logistical coordination, tracking project timelines and deliverables,



and providing regular updates to project leads to ensure activities are completed on schedule and within scope.

The Project

Associate will collaborate closely with the BFC team to refine interventions based on field insights and help strengthen community participation and impact.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret field data and project outcomes.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills for engaging with communities, partners, and internal teams, including transparent written and verbal reporting.
- Candidates should possess project management skills to support planning, coordination, and tracking of multiple activities and timelines.
- Candidates should possess training and facilitation skills to assist in capacity-building sessions, workshops, and community meetings.
- Candidates should possess research skills to support needs assessments, baseline studies, and documentation of best practices.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in the development or nonprofit sector, especially in rural or tribal contexts; familiarity with livelihoods, agriculture, or climate-related initiatives; and proficiency in basic digital tools (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets).
- A relevant undergraduate degree (such as in social sciences, rural development, agriculture, or related fields) is desirable, along with the ability to work on-site in Valsad, travel to field locations, and collaborate respectfully with diverse communities.
