We are looking for a visionary Program Director to shape the sonic identity of our station, mentor our on-air talent, and drive audience growth to the next level.

Position Summary:

As a Program Director (PD), you will be the creative and operational engine of Navodaya radio station. You will oversee all aspects of on-air and digital programming - from playlist curation and talent coaching to broadcast compliance and promotional strategy.

Your primary mission is to optimise audience ratings, protect the station’s brand integrity, and foster an environment where creative talent thrives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Establish, refine, and maintain the station’s overall format, sound, and brand philosophy across traditional broadcast and digital streams.
- Recruit, train, and mentor on-air personalities, DJs, and producers. Conduct regular aircheck sessions to elevate performance and maintain high broadcast standards.




- Partner with the Music Director to select, schedule, and rotate music, imaging, and daily programming clocks.
- Analyse audience metrics, ratings data, and market research to refine programming strategies and maximise market share.
- Collaborate with Sales and Promotions teams to conceptualise and execute high-impact on-air contests, events, and advertiser-integrated content.
- Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory standards and protect the station’s broadcast licence.

Qualification & Requirements:

- Experience: 5+ years in radio broadcasting, with at least 2+ years in programming, content, or talent management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Radio/TV, or equivalent industry experience.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with radio automation software (e.g., WideOrbit, NexGen, RCS Selector) and audio editing tools (e.g., Adobe Audition, Pro Tools).
- Leadership: A cooperative, high-energy leader who thrives under pressure, meets tight deadlines, and brings out the best in creative personalities.
- Industry Awareness: Strong analytical mindset with a deep understanding of pop culture, local community trends, and the evolving digital audio landscape (podcasting & streaming).
