Role Summary

Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning), responsible for teaching, academic leadership, research, curriculum development, student mentoring, and industry-oriented technical training. The role focuses on strengthening students' programming, AI/ML, data science, cloud computing, and emerging technology skills while contributing to research, innovation, patents, publications, and institutional academic initiatives.

Success in this role is demonstrated through effective teaching and mentoring, improved student learning outcomes, quality research publications and patents, successful academic projects, industry collaboration, and the development of innovative technology-driven learning initiatives.

Responsibilities

- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Programming, Database Management Systems, Web Technologies, and related areas.
- Design and implement practical, industry-oriented laboratory sessions, assignments, projects, bootcamps, and technical training programs.
- Mentor students in academic projects, internships, research activities, competitive programming, and career development.
- Develop and update course materials, laboratory manuals, lesson plans, assessments, and outcome-based learning resources.
- Integrate emerging technologies, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, Deep Learning, Cloud Computing, IoT, Big Data Analytics, and Image Processing into teaching and project-based learning.
- Conduct assessments and provide constructive feedback to support student learning and continuous improvement.
- Guide students in developing real-world software applications and AI/ML projects.
- Conduct research in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Image Processing, Deep Learning, Generative AI, and related areas.




- Publish research findings in reputed journals and conferences and contribute to intellectual property and patent development.
- Collaborate with faculty members, researchers, industry professionals, and academic institutions on research and technology initiatives.
- Contribute to curriculum development, academic planning, accreditation activities, and departmental quality-improvement initiatives.
- Organize workshops, faculty development programs, technical events, seminars, and student-focused technology activities.
- Promote innovation, entrepreneurship, research culture, and industry readiness among students.
- Support departmental initiatives related to NBA, NAAC, academic audits, outcome-based education, and institutional documentation.

Qualifications

- Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in Image Processing.
- M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering.
- B.Tech. in Computer Science and Information Technology.
- 20+ years of teaching and academic experience in Computer Science and Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Image Processing, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Cloud Computing, IoT, Big Data Analytics, and Data Science.
- Proficiency in programming and software development using Python, Java, C/C++, SQL, and web technologies.
- Experience in Database Management Systems, Full Stack Development, AI/ML applications, and project-based learning.
- Research experience with publications in journals and conferences and contributions to patents.
- Experience in student mentoring, academic administration, curriculum development, laboratory design, and technical training.
- Qualified and certified trainer in Cisco DevNet Developer.
- Familiarity with research and academic platforms including Scopus, Web of Science, ORCID, and Google Scholar.
- Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, mentoring, leadership, and cooperative skills.
- Ability to translate emerging technologies into practical, industry-oriented learning experiences.
