Role & Responsibilities

- Provide L2/L3 production support for business-critical applications and services.

- Monitor application health, performance and availability and respond to production alerts.

- Troubleshoot issues using Linux/Unix commands, logs, system metrics and monitoring tools.

- Work on PostgreSQL databases and troubleshoot database/application issues.

- Write and troubleshoot SQL queries, including joins, aggregations and performance issues.

- Identify slow/non-performing queries and coordinate with development teams for optimisation.

- Handle production incidents, perform impact assessment, troubleshooting, escalation and resolution.

- Perform RCA and contribute to corrective and preventive actions.

- Develop Python/Bash/Shell/PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive operational activities.

- Improve monitoring, alerting, health checks, runbooks and operational processes.

- Participate in on-call support and service restoration activities when required.

- Maintain incident, change and problem records and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Preferred Candidate Profile





- 710 years of experience in Production Support, Application Support, Operations Engineering, SRE or Infrastructure Support.

- Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix in a production environment.

- Mandatory hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.

- Strong SQL skills with practical experience in query troubleshooting and optimisation.

- Hands-on scripting experience in Python, Bash, Shell, PowerShell or similar.

- Valuable understanding of Incident, Problem and Change Management.

- Experience with monitoring, alerting, log analysis and RCA.

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to work under production pressure.

- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

- Exposure to ITIL/ITSM, ServiceNow, observability tools, CI/CD or automation will be an advantage.

- Banking/financial-services or other regulated-environment experience is preferred.

- Hyderabad location is mandatory.
