About Us

January Designs is an interior design and turnkey contracting firm with offices in Salem . We run our own modular kitchen and wardrobe production facility in Salem, so quality and timelines stay in our own hands. We're growing and looking for a hands-on production leader to run the factory floor.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our modular production unit. That covers everything from cutting lists to finished, packed units ready for site dispatch. You'll manage machines, manpower, material, and quality to deliver projects on time with minimum wastage.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and schedule daily production based on project priorities and site timelines
- Operate and supervise panel saw, edge bander, cold press, and CNC machine operations
- Prepare and verify cutting lists, BOMs, and nesting layouts from design drawings
- Control material usage and reduce board and laminate wastage
- Ensure quality checks at every stage: cutting, edging, pressing, boring,



and assembly
- Coordinate with the design team and site/installation team for smooth handover
- Manage and train factory workers and machine operators
- Oversee routine machine maintenance and flag breakdowns early
- Maintain production records, material stock, and dispatch reports
- Keep the shop floor safe, clean, and organised

Requirements

- Prior experience in an interior or modular furniture production line is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of modular kitchen and wardrobe production processes
- Hands-on experience with panel saw, edge bander, cold press, and CNC machines
- Good understanding of materials such as plywood, MDF, particle board, HDHMR, laminates, and acrylic
- Ability to read and interpret production drawings
- Experience managing a team of workers and operators
- Knowledge of cutting optimization or CNC software is an added advantage
- Basic computer skills (Excel, reports)
- Tamil speaking preferred
