Job Title: Production Manager

Department: Production / Manufacturing

Reporting To: Plant Head / Factory Manager

Job Purpose The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, and controlling the complete manufacturing process of porcelain mosaic products. The role focuses on achieving production targets while maintaining required quality standards, controlling costs, improving productivity, and ensuring safe manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans according to customer orders and dispatch schedules.

2. Monitor the complete manufacturing process, including raw material preparation, mixing, forming, pressing, drying, glazing, firing, sorting, cutting, finishing, and packing.

3. Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned timeline.

4. Maintain product quality as per approved specifications and coordinate with the Quality Control Department to reduce defects, breakage, rejection, and wastage.

5. Monitor production efficiency, machine utilization, manpower productivity, and material consumption.

6. Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions for continuous improvement.

7. Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance of production machinery, kilns, presses, cutting machines, and other equipment.

8. Control production costs by reducing material wastage, energy consumption, rework, and unnecessary overtime.

9. Ensure proper utilization and availability of manpower, machines, raw materials, and production tools.

10. Maintain daily production reports, rejection reports, downtime records, consumption records,



and other production-related documentation.

11. Ensure compliance with safety rules, SOPs, quality systems, and company policies.

12. Train, guide, and evaluate production supervisors, operators, and workers.

13. Coordinate with Planning, Stores, Purchase, Maintenance, Quality, HR, and Dispatch departments for smooth production operations.

14. Investigate major quality or production issues and implement corrective actions.

15. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, improve quality, and optimize manufacturing processes.

Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma or Degree in Ceramic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a relevant field.

- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in ceramic, porcelain, tile, mosaic, or related manufacturing industries.

- Strong knowledge of ceramic/porcelain production processes and manufacturing equipment.

- Valuable leadership, problem-solving, planning, and team management skills.

- Knowledge of quality systems, safety standards, production reporting, and continuous improvement practices.

Authority: The Production Manager is authorized to allocate manpower, prioritize production activities, coordinate with concerned departments, and take necessary operational decisions to achieve production, quality, cost, and safety objectives.
