We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our gold jewellery manufacturing facility. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end production workflowfrom CAD/CAM design and lost-wax casting to hand-assembly, setting, polishing, hallmarking, and final quality assurance.

The ideal candidate possesses deep technical knowledge of gold metallurgy and manufacturing processes, along with a track record of strict gold loss/wastage management, team leadership, and process optimization using Jewellery ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Workflow Management

- Plan, execute, and monitor daily, weekly, and seasonal production schedules to meet customer delivery dates and target outputs.
- Optimize workflow across all specialised departments: CAD/CAM, Casting, Filing/Assembly, Stone Setting (Pave, Prong, Bezel), Polishing, Electroplating, and Quality Control (QC).
- Manage Manufacturing Orders (MOs) for custom orders, prototype developments, and mass production runs.

1. Gold Accounting & Wastage Control

- Enforce strict metal control and loss/wastage management protocols across every workstation.
- Maintain accurate gold balance sheets, tracking gross weight, net gold, and alloy ratios for varying karats (e.g., 22K, 18K, 14K, Yellow/White/Rose Gold).
- Oversee bench-scrap collection, floor sweeps,



dust extraction filters, and refining processes to ensure complete accountability of precious metals.

1. Quality Assurance & Compliance

- Implement rigorous stage-by-stage quality checks to reduce rework and reject rates.
- Ensure all finished products adhere to purity standards, dimensional accuracy, structural integrity, and proper hallmarking/assaying regulations.
- Maintain workplace safety and environmental standards for chemical handling, acid boiling, plating fumes, and machinery operation.

1. Team Leadership & People Management

- Supervise, mentor, and allocate work to department supervisors, bench jewelers (artisans/karigars), setters, polishers, and technicians.
- Identify skill gaps and conduct training programs on up-to-date techniques (laser welding, automated casting, 3D printing) alongside traditional craftsmanship.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, turn-around time (TAT), worker efficiency, and defect rates.

1. ERP & Technical Integration

- Utilize specialized Jewellery ERP software to issue raw materials, track job bags/cards, and monitor real-time production status.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure regular calibration, preventive maintenance, and repairs of specialized machinery (casting machines, vulcanizers, laser welders).
