Role Overview The Production Manager is the engine of the factory floor at Bhagwat Delights. This role is responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing process, ensuring that production targets for our premium Indian sweets are met efficiently, safely, and within budget, while maintaining the high quality expected by our leading outlet clients.
Work Schedule: Flexible hours, highly dependent on daily production targets and festive season demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning: Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on client orders and inventory levels.
- Execution & Monitoring: Oversee the end-to-end manufacturing process of sweets. Monitor daily output against targets and take immediate corrective action during machine breakdowns or delays.
- Workforce Management: Supervise, motivate, and guide a large team of floor workers, machine operators, and cooks. Manage shift schedules, attendance, and overtime.
- Quality & Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Collaborate with the Quality Control team to ensure products meet client specifications.
- Waste Reduction: Track and minimize production waste, downtime, and material losses through lean manufacturing principles.
- Inventory Coordination: Coordinate with procurement to ensure a constant supply of raw ingredients (sugar, ghee, dry fruits, etc.) to prevent halts.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 2–4 years (Mid-level) of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Education: Any Bachelor’s Degree OR a Diploma in Engineering or Production Management.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to handle high-pressure festive seasons (e.g., Diwali).
- Fluency in Marathi and Hindi to effectively communicate with factory staff.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
