Job Title: Production Engineer – Transformer Manufacturing

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities for our transformer division (Distribution, Power, or Instrument Transformers). The ideal candidate will manage shop-floor operations, drive production targets, optimize resource utilization, and ensure adherence to delivery timelines while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and execute daily production schedules based on the requirements provided by the PPC department.
- Oversee core manufacturing processes including core building, coil winding (HV/LV), assembly, tanking, insulation assembly, and final completion.
- Supervise, guide, and allocate tasks to shop floor technicians and operators to maximize productivity.
- Monitor raw material consumption and minimize material wastage and rework.




- Coordinate with the Quality Control team to identify and resolve inline production defects and non-conformities.
- Implement 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen methodologies on the shop floor to improve workflow efficiency.
- Maintain daily production reports (DPR), machine logs, and attendance trackers accurately.
- Ensure strict adherence to company safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions (WI).

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Production Engineering.
- 2–5 years of hands-on production experience specifically within a transformer manufacturing industry.
- Sound knowledge of transformer components, assembly sequences, and basic drawing reading (Autocad/Solidworks knowledge is an advantage).
- Proven capability in workforce management, conflict resolution, and shift handling.
- Fluency in Marathi and Hindi to effectively communicate with the local workforce.
