Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Execution

- Plan and monitor daily production activities as per the production schedule.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned time and resources.
- Monitor machine loading, manpower utilization, and production output.
- Coordinate with planning, stores, maintenance, quality, and other departments to ensure smooth production.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and operational issues.

Process & Productivity Improvement

- Improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity and reduce cycle time.
- Monitor and reduce rejection, rework, scrap, downtime, and material wastage.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze production data and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Support implementation of new processes, machines, tools, and manufacturing methods.

Quality & Compliance

- Ensure production is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Quality department to address process-related quality issues.
- Investigate root causes of defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain process documentation and production records.

Manpower & Shop-Floor Management

- Allocate manpower according to production requirements.
- Monitor operator performance and provide technical guidance when required.




- Ensure operators follow standard operating procedures and safety practices.
- Conduct regular shop-floor meetings and communicate production priorities.

Machine & Maintenance Coordination

- Monitor machine performance and coordinate with the Maintenance team for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure proper machine utilization and minimize unplanned downtime.
- Identify recurring machine-related problems and support corrective actions.

Reporting & Documentation

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Maintain records of production quantity, rejection, downtime, efficiency, and productivity.
- Track key production KPIs and report deviations to management.
- Support audits and maintain required manufacturing documentation.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement.
- Basic knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and MS Excel.
- Good communication and team-management skills.
- Ability to work under production targets and deadlines.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in a manufacturing/industrial production environment.
- Experience with CNC, machining, fabrication, assembly, or related manufacturing processes will be an advantage.
- Experience in productivity improvement, process optimization, and quality improvement is preferred.
