Job Summary The Production Chemist is responsible for carrying out chemical manufacturing processes safely and efficiently, ensuring that production activities are performed according to approved procedures, quality standards, and production schedules. The role involves monitoring chemical reactions, operating production equipment, maintaining process records, and coordinating with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and other departments.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute production activities according to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), and work instructions.
- Monitor chemical reactions, temperature, pressure, pH, mixing time, and other critical process parameters.
- Weigh, measure, charge, and handle raw materials accurately as per batch requirements.
- Operate and monitor reactors, mixers, centrifuges, filters, dryers, and other production equipment.
- Ensure proper completion of batch processing and maintain accurate production records.
- Collect and submit process samples to the Quality Control department for analysis.
- Monitor analytical results and take appropriate action in consultation with the Production/QA/QC team.
- Identify process deviations, abnormalities, and equipment issues and report them immediately.
- Follow approved procedures for handling, storage, and transfer of chemicals and raw materials.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure cleanliness of production areas and equipment.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety procedures, environmental requirements, and company policies.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while handling chemicals and operating equipment.
- Assist in troubleshooting production and process-related problems.




- Coordinate with Maintenance for equipment breakdowns and preventive maintenance requirements.
- Minimize material wastage and improve production efficiency wherever possible.
- Maintain proper documentation, logbooks, batch records, and equipment records.
- Support process optimization, scale-up, validation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure safe disposal and handling of chemical waste according to applicable procedures.
- Participate in internal audits, safety inspections, training programs, and improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry or equivalent qualification.
- Diploma/degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field may also be considered depending on the manufacturing process.
- Relevant experience in chemical/pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
