Oasis Luminaires is a leading Indian manufacturer of high-performance LED lighting solutions for architectural, industrial, cleanroom, and outdoor applications. We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Procurement Manager to take ownership of our procurement function and ensure uninterrupted availability of quality materials at competitive prices.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manufacturing procurement, vendor management, price negotiation, inventory planning and purchase coordination. Experience in the LED, electrical, electronics, lighting or engineering manufacturing industry will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities1. Procurement Planning

- Understand production requirements, sales orders, project requirements and material consumption.
- Prepare procurement plans based on production schedules and expected demand.
- Review current stock, open purchase orders, minimum stock levels and upcoming requirements.
- Identify material shortages well in advance and take corrective action.
- Coordinate with Production and Stores to determine upcoming material requirements.
- Develop and maintain appropriate reorder levels for critical materials.
- Ensure procurement decisions balance availability, working capital and inventory holding costs.

1. Vendor Development & Management

- Identify, evaluate and onboard new suppliers.
- Develop and maintain a reliable supplier base for key raw materials and components.
- Maintain an approved vendor list.
- Evaluate vendors based on price, quality, delivery, service and reliability.
- Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews.
- Negotiate payment terms, credit periods, lead times, minimum order quantities and commercial terms.
- Develop alternate suppliers for critical materials to reduce dependency on a single vendor.
- Maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers.

1. Purchase & Negotiation

- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers.




- Prepare and release Purchase Orders after appropriate approvals.
- Ensure POs accurately reflect specifications, quantities, prices, taxes, delivery requirements and payment terms.
- Track purchase orders from placement through delivery.
- Follow up with vendors on pending and delayed orders.
- Escalate critical delays that may impact production or customer commitments.

1. Project & Custom-Order Procurement

- Work closely with Sales/Projects and Production on customized lighting requirements.
- Review material requirements for project-specific products.
- Coordinate procurement for recent product development and customized BOMs.
- Ensure special materials are ordered with sufficient lead time.
- Track project-critical materials separately where required.
- Coordinate with suppliers on samples, prototypes and customized components.

1. Delivery & Supply Chain Management

- Track supplier lead times.
- Maintain an updated pending-PO report.
- Monitor overdue and delayed deliveries.
- Prioritize critical materials based on production requirements.
- Coordinate urgent purchases when required.
- Maintain visibility of expected incoming materials for Production and Stores.

1. Documentation & Systems- Maintain accurate procurement records including:

- Purchase Orders
- Supplier quotations
- Comparative statements
- Vendor information
- Price history
- Delivery records
- Pending PO reports
- Supplier performance records
- Purchase approvals
- Material specifications
- Vendor agreements and commercial terms
