Job Title: Procurement Executive

Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Executive to manage the sourcing and purchasing operations for our nutraceutical manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for sourcing high-quality raw materials (active ingredients, excipients, flavors, botanical extracts), packaging materials, and machinery while optimizing costs, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely deliveries to maintain uninterrupted production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sourcing & Vendor Management

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for nutraceutical raw materials (proteins, amino acids, herbal extracts, excipients, and flavors) and packaging materials (bottles, labels, scoops, corrugated boxes).
- Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective procurement without compromising on quality.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international vendors (including utilizing platforms like IndiaMART and Alibaba).

2. Purchase Operations & Order Tracking

- Generate, review, and process Purchase Orders (POs) accurately using internal ERP systems or tracking sheets.
- Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery, coordinating closely with suppliers and logistics partners.
- Resolve any grievances with suppliers regarding rejected materials, shortages, or delayed shipments.

3. Quality Coordination & Compliance

- Work closely with the QA/QC and Regulatory departments to ensure all procured materials meet strict quality standards and FSSAI guidelines.
- Ensure all incoming raw materials are accompanied by valid Certificate of Analysis (COA), FSSAI licenses, and other mandatory documentation.

4. Inventory & Cost Management

- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production planning team to determine purchasing needs and prevent stockouts.




- Conduct regular market research to track price trends for raw materials and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Prepare monthly procurement reports, cost analyses, and vendor performance evaluations.

Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Pharmacy (B.Pharm), B.Sc, or a related field.
- Experience Required: 2 to 5 years of proven procurement experience, specifically within the Nutraceutical, Pharmaceutical, or FMCG manufacturing industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with nutraceutical ingredients, excipients, flavor houses, and packaging standards is highly preferred.

Required Skills
- Negotiation & Communication: Strong negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills to secure the best deals and manage vendor relations effectively.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP/inventory management software (e.g., Bitrix24, SAP, Tally) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Problem Solving: Ability to work under pressure, manage supply chain bottlenecks, and adapt to changing production requirements.
- Detail-Oriented: High accuracy in processing POs, verifying invoices, and maintaining procurement records.
