Role Description This is a full time, on-site Procurement Engineer role based in Ahmedabad.

The Procurement

Engineer will manage end-to-end procurement activities, including identifying suppliers, requesting and evaluating quotations, negotiating prices and terms, and preparing purchase orders for materials, components, and equipment. The role involves coordinating with production, quality, and maintenance teams to understand requirements, ensure timely availability of items, and maintain optimal inventory levels.





The Procurement

Engineer will monitor supplier performance, maintain procurement documentation, and support vendor development and qualification. The role also includes tracking market trends, cost optimization opportunities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant standards.

Qualifications

Key Skills

- Working knowledgeof ERP
- Prepare comparative statements and release Purchase Orders (POs)
- Coordinate with stores/QC for material receipt, inspection, and GRN closure
- Follow up with vendors for on-time delivery; expedite critical items
- Handle purchase of raw materials, bought-out components, and standard machine parts
- Negotiate rates, payment terms, and delivery schedules
- MIS & Procurement Reporting
- Good understanding of Purchase/Procurement processes
- Assist the Purchase Manager in cost-saving initiatives and vendor audits
