Job Title: Procurement/ Sourcing Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Supplier Sourcing & Development with 6months–3 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

The role will be responsible for processing sales orders, coordinating with internal teams, following up on deliveries, and ensuring smooth execution of the entire order-to-dispatch cycle.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Sourcing & Development

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for raw materials, components, tooling, and outsourced services.
- Develop recent vendors based on technical capability, quality systems, capacity, cost competitiveness, and delivery performance.
- Float RFQs, obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and support supplier selection.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Quality teams to clarify drawings, specifications, standards, and inspection requirements.
- Support supplier audits, sample development, trials, and approval of new parts or materials.
- Maintain an approved supplier database and identify alternate sources to reduce supply risk.

Commercial & Procurement Coordination

- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, minimum order quantities, tooling costs, and other commercial conditions.




- Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in ERP/SAP with accurate specifications and commercial terms.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and coordinate with Stores, Planning, Production, and Quality for material availability.
- Monitor supplier quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness; support corrective actions and periodic performance reviews.
- Drive cost-reduction and value-engineering initiatives through negotiation, localization, alternate sourcing, and specification optimization.
- Resolve shortages, rejections, delivery delays, invoice discrepancies, and other supplier-related issues.
- Maintain sourcing records, quotations, purchase orders, supplier documents, cost-saving trackers, and procurement MIS reports.
- Ensure sourcing activities comply with approved procedures, quality requirements, and applicable commercial terms.

Qualification & Experience

- Education: BE/ BTech: Mechanical, E&E;, E&C;
- Experience: 6m–3 years in Supplier Sourcing & Development
- Good working knowledge of procurement process, supplier qualification
