Role Description Inspect plastic injection moulded components as per approved specifications, drawings, samples and quality standards.

Conduct first-piece, in-process and final inspection of moulded components.

Monitor the injection moulding process to ensure consistent product quality.

Identify and control common moulding defects such as:

- Short moulding
- Flash / burr
- Sink marks
- Warpage
- Burn marks
- Flow marks
- Weld lines
- Black spots / contamination
- Colour variation
- Dimensional variation
- Silver streaks and other appearance defects

Check product dimensions using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Gauges and other measuring instruments. Maintain inspection records, rejection reports and quality check sheets.

Monitor rejection,



rework and process defects and support corrective actions.

Coordinate with Production, Moulding, Maintenance and Tool Room teams for resolving quality issues.

Conduct regular process and product inspections on the shop floor.

Ensure approved master samples / reference samples are available and followed during production.

Verify raw material, colour/masterbatch and production parameters as required.

Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) for quality problems.

Maintain traceability of batches, moulds, machines and production lots.

Ensure non-conforming products are properly identified, segregated and controlled.

Support implementation of 5S, quality standards and process control procedures.

Prepare daily/shift-wise quality reports and communicate major quality issues to the Quality/Production Head.

Ensure customer-specific quality requirements are followed wherever applicable.

Qualifications

ITI / Diploma / B.Tech / equivalent technical qualification in Plastic Technology, Mechanical, Production or related field.Valuable knowledge of Plastic Injection Moulding Process.

Understanding of moulding defects and their causes.

Knowledge of basic plastic materials and masterbatch/colour mixing.

Ability to read basic drawings, specifications and quality standards.

Practical knowledge of measuring instruments.

Good inspection and problem-solving skills.

Basic knowledge of MS Excel and quality documentation.

- Good coordination with production and shop-floor teams.
