About the Role

Birla Carbon is seeking a Process Development Engineer/Scientist to drive process innovation, technology development, and operational excellence across its global manufacturing network. This role will focus on developing and optimizing process technologies, supporting product innovation, solving complex process challenges, and advancing sustainability and safety objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead process improvement and technology development initiatives to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and cost competitiveness.
- Design, plan, execute, and analyze laboratory, pilot-scale, and plant trials.
- Identify and resolve critical manufacturing and process-related issues.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business needs.
- Support recent product development and commercialization efforts.
- Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps, sustainability initiatives, and intellectual property development.
- Collaborate with global R&D;, Manufacturing, HS&E;, and Technology teams.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, Master's degree with 3+ years of experience,



or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Experience in process development, process engineering, R&D;, manufacturing, or pilot plant operations.
- Exposure to petrochemical, combustion, aerosol, or related industries is preferred.
