Role Description The Private Investor role at The Capital Trader is a full-time, on-site position based in Dehradun.

The Private

Investor will be responsible for researching and analyzing financial markets, evaluating investment opportunities, and managing a personal or allocated portfolio in line with the firm’s strategies and risk parameters. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring market news and economic indicators, developing and testing investment ideas, executing trades under defined guidelines, and maintaining accurate records of positions and performance.



The role also involves preparing concise reports on investment rationales, participating in strategy discussions with team members, and continuously updating skills and knowledge related to market trends and financial instruments. This position requires a high level of accountability, discipline, and adherence to compliance and ethical standards.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, including comfort with financial data, charts, and basic statistical concepts.
- Solid understanding of financial markets, investment principles, and risk management frameworks.
- Ability to conduct independent research, critically evaluate information sources, and form evidence-based investment views.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting strategies and discussing ideas with the team.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical investing and regulatory compliance.
- Capacity to work onsite in Dehradun, maintain focus in a fast-moving market environment, and make decisions under uncertainty.
