Role & responsibilities

Ryan International School, Hyderabad, is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and student-focused Primary Teacher to teach and nurture students from Classes 1 to 5. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons, creating a positive classroom environment, assessing student progress, and supporting the overall academic and personal development of young learners.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging, interactive, and age-appropriate lessons for students in Classes 15.
- Follow the school's curriculum, academic framework, teaching methodologies, and assessment practices.
- Create a secure, inclusive, encouraging, and well-managed classroom setting.
- Use activity-based, experiential, and technology-enabled teaching strategies to make learning meaningful.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, worksheets, assignments, projects, and other learning resources.
- Assess students' academic progress through classwork, homework, projects, tests, and continuous assessments.
- Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate support and differentiated instruction.
- Encourage students' creativity, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic performance, behaviour, and progress.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate their progress to parents when required.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, coordinators, and school leadership on academic planning and student development.
- Participate actively in parent-teacher meetings, school events, assemblies, workshops, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
- Promote good values, discipline, responsibility, respect, and positive social behaviour among students.
- Ensure compliance with school policies, child-safety guidelines, and professional standards.
- Stay updated with current teaching practices, educational technology, and primary-level learning methodologies.

Required Qualifications





- Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed.) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in the relevant subject/discipline.
- Prior experience teaching primary-school students is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of primary-level curriculum and age-appropriate teaching methodologies.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Basic proficiency in digital teaching tools and educational technology.
