Role Description: We are looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Design & Solution Engineer with strong expertise in Structured Cabling, Data Center Infrastructure, Active Networking, and Passive Networking solutions. The candidate will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, designing end-to-end technical solutions, preparing BOQs/BOMs and technical proposals, and supporting the sales team throughout the opportunity lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pre-Sales & Requirement Understanding

- Understand customer requirements through meetings, calls, site surveys, and technical discussions.
- Analyze RFPs, RFQs, tenders, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with sales teams to identify opportunities and develop appropriate technical solutions.
- Conduct site surveys and gather infrastructure requirements where required.
- Provide technical presentations and solution walkthroughs to customers.

2. Solution Design – Passive Networking

- Design complete Structured Cabling Solutions for Data Centers, Server Rooms, Offices, and Enterprise Networks.
- Design Copper and Fiber Optic Cabling solutions based on customer requirements.




- Prepare designs for:
- Cat6/Cat6A/Cat7 cabling
- Single Mode & Multimode Fiber
- Fiber Trays and Enclosures
- ODF/FDF
- Patch Panels
- LIUs
- Patch Cords
- Racks & Cabinets
- Cable Managers
- PDU
- Raceway/Trunking
- Labeling and Cable Management
- Develop rack layouts, cable routing, connectivity diagrams, and termination schedules.
- Ensure solutions comply with applicable industry standards and customer specifications.

3. Data Center Solution Design

- Design structured cabling infrastructure for Data Centers, Server Rooms, MDF/IDF and Network Rooms.
- Understand Data Center topology, ToR/MoR/EoR architecture and cross-connect requirements.
- Design high-density fiber and copper connectivity solutions.
- Prepare rack elevation diagrams, connectivity diagrams, cable schedules, and pathway designs.
- Consider scalability, redundancy, cable density, airflow, and future expansion requirements.

4. Active Networking Solutions

- Understand and design solutions involving:
- Core, Distribution & Access Switches
- Data Center Switches
- Routers
- Firewalls
- Wireless LAN
- Network Management
- Network Security
- Network Monitoring
- Develop high-level network architecture and solution diagrams.
- Coordinate with OEMs/distributors for product selection, technical validation, and sizing.
- Recommend suitable OEM solutions based on technical and commercial requirements.

5. BOQ/BOM & Commercial Support

- Prepare accurate BOQ/BOM, technical specifications, and solution costing inputs.
- Identify required quantities for active and passive networking components.
- Prepare technical compliance sheets and comparative statements.
- Coordinate with vendors/OEMs for pricing, availability, technical clarification, and lead times.
- Support the sales team in preparing technical and commercial proposals.
