Company Description
Craste develops high-performance materials from agricultural crop residue through patented manufacturing technology. The product line is carbon negative, formaldehyde-free, and timber-independent - addressing crop burning, indoor air quality, and deforestation simultaneously. Sustainable innovation and industrial-grade performance are core to everything built here.
The work extends beyond the factory - directly supporting farmer livelihoods and driving grassroots impact at the source of the supply chain.
Role Description A hands-on role focused on adhesive formulation development - from lab trials and characterisation through to industrial-scale implementation.
The role bridges laboratory work and real-world application, with the expectation of translating formulation insights into processes that perform at production scale.
- Develop and optimize adhesive formulations for binder systems used in engineered composites
- Plan and execute laboratory trials with structured documentation
- Perform material characterization and translate results into clear, actionable findings
- Maintain detailed records and prepare technical reports
- Identify gaps in formulation performance and propose data-driven improvements
- Support the scale-up of formulations from lab to production level
- Maintain lab inventory, chemical storage, and equipment in accordance with safety and operational standards
- Work closely with the engineering and product teams to align formulation outcomes with application requirements
