Plastic Waste Segregation Worker

Job Summary

We are looking for Plastic Waste Segregation Workers to join our operations at our Angamaly yard. The candidate will be responsible for sorting and segregating different types of plastic waste and recyclable materials, maintaining cleanliness and proper material handling within the yard.

Candidates with previous experience in plastic waste segregation, recycling units, scrap yards, material recovery facilities (MRF), or waste management operations will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Segregate collected waste and identify different types of plastic materials.
- Sort plastics based on type, quality, colour, and recyclability.
- Separate recyclable plastics from non-recyclable and unwanted materials.
- Identify and separate materials such as PET bottles, HDPE, PP, LDPE, plastic containers, covers, and other recyclable plastics.
- Remove non-plastic materials and contaminants from recyclable plastic.
- Maintain proper segregation and stacking of materials in designated areas.
- Assist in weighing, packing, bundling, and loading/unloading of segregated materials when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping within the yard.
- Follow safety procedures while handling waste and recyclable materials.
- Use gloves, masks, safety shoes, and other PPE provided by the company.




- Inform the supervisor about damaged, hazardous, or unidentified materials.
- Support the team in maintaining accurate material segregation and stock movement.
- Perform other yard-related operational duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements
- Previous experience in plastic segregation or waste management is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of different types of plastic and recyclable materials.
- Ability to identify and segregate materials accurately.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a yard environment.
- Willingness to work with waste and recyclable materials.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Responsible, punctual, and disciplined.
- Basic understanding of Malayalam is preferred.

Working Conditions

- Work location: Angamaly Yard
- Physical work involving sorting, lifting, packing, and handling recyclable materials.
- Appropriate PPE and safety instructions will be provided by the company.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
