2. Job Purpose The Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the development of product extensions, reports, labels, and other platform enhancements, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives. 3. Key Accountabilities

- Manage and coordinate development activities, ensuring alignment with business requirements and strategic objectives.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce a comprehensive Development RunBook.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor development tasks and timelines to meet project milestones.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Technical Architects, and QA teams for productive development cycles.
- Facilitate continuous improvement and innovation in development practices and methodologies.

- Manager(s) Job Title: Global IT Director WMS Center of Excellence.
- Number of Direct Reports: 4 to 8 (Extension Developers, ETL/API Developers, Reporting & Label Developers)
- Total Employees Managed: 4 to 8
- Dotted Line Reports: None

5. Key Working Relationships

- Frequent collaboration with Technical Services Manager, Product Owners, and Functional Architects, Scrum Master.
- Regular interaction with developers, testing teams, and deployment engineers.
- Coordination with internal stakeholders and external vendors as necessary.

6. Resource Management

- Oversees development resources including personnel, software tools, and budget allocations.
- Manages effective utilization of resources to deliver high-quality platform developments.

7. Knowledge, Experience & Skills

- a. Education & Qualifications:
- Essential: Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering,



or related discipline.
- Desirable: Certifications in project management, software development, or Agile methodologies.
- b. Experience:
- Essential: Minimum 7 years experience managing software development teams.
- Essential: Demonstrable expertise in managing complex software development projects and extensions.
- Essential: Experience in logistics, supply chain platforms, or similar industries.
- c. Specialist Knowledge & Skills:
- Essential: proven expertise on Manhattan Active WMS, including exposure to Pro-Active, Config Director and Manhattan Active GO, IBM Cognos reporting.
- Essential: Deep knowledge of software development processes, methodologies, and lifecycle management.
- Essential: Proficient in development planning, resource management, and quality assurance practices.
- Desirable: Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- d. Interpersonal & Communication Skills:
- Essential: Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Essential: Ability to clearly document and communicate complex development strategies and processes.

8. Other Information

- Flexibility to manage global teams and collaborate across multiple time zones 24 x5. Able to manage a team which works across time zones.
