Role Description This part-time PHLEBOTOMIST/NURSE role is a hybrid position based in Vadodara, with some work-from-home flexibility for appropriate tasks such as documentation and telephonic follow-ups. Day-to-day responsibilities include safe and accurate blood collection, handling and labeling samples, and coordinating at-home or in-clinic sample collection in line with clinical protocols. The role involves assisting clinicians with basic medical procedures, preparing patients for tests, and providing clear, compassionate explanations of processes and post-procedure care.

The PHLEBOTOMIST/NURSE will maintain sterile technique, ensure proper use of laboratory equipment, support electronic medical record documentation, and uphold strict confidentiality and a non-judgmental,



inclusive approach to sexual health care.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong blood collection skills, including venipuncture, capillary sampling, and safe specimen handling.
- Candidates should possess laboratory skills related to sample processing, labeling, storage, and adherence to infection control protocols.
- Candidates should possess medical assisting skills, including patient preparation, vital sign measurement, and support during examinations and minor procedures.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of medical terminology and basic concepts in medicine relevant to sexual health, HIV, and STIs.
- Candidates should possess clear communication skills, a patient-centered and empathetic approach, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and a non-judgmental attitude.
- Relevant nursing or phlebotomy certification/diploma and registration (as applicable) from recognized institutions is preferred.
- Experience in sexual health, infectious diseases, or primary care settings, and comfort working with LGBTQ+ communities and diverse populations is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a hybrid model (clinic and home-based tasks), basic computer literacy, and familiarity with electronic health records is advantageous.
