- Position Title: Pharmacy Assistant

- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in a pharmacy or retail healthcare environment.

- Reports To: Licensed Pharmacist / Pharmacy Manager

Key Responsibilities

- Dispensing Support: Assist the pharmacist in preparing, counting, packaging, and labeling prescriptions accurately.

- Customer Service: Greet patients, answer telephone inquiries, and direct prescription or medical queries to the pharmacist.

- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, restock shelves, check for expired products, and receive incoming medical supplies.

- Administrative Tasks: Process cash register transactions, manage basic billing, and maintain organized, confidential patient records.

Keep the pharmacy counter, waiting area, and storage spaces clean, sanitized, and compliant with safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (certification in community pharmacy is a plus).

- Experience: At least 1 year of proven experience working in a pharmacy assistant or customer-facing medical support role.

- Skills: Basic proficiency in pharmacy software, strong communication, high attention to detail, and basic math/numeracy skills.

- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods during an 8-hour shift and lift medium-weight inventory boxes.
