About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Pharmacy Head to oversee pharmacy operations, ensure regulatory compliance, manage inventory and procurement, and lead the pharmacy team.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, pharmaceutical products, prescription handling, inventory management, documentation, and applicable pharmacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations.
- Ensure proper dispensing and handling of medicines as per valid prescriptions and applicable regulations.
- Supervise pharmacists and pharmacy support staff.
- Ensure medicines are stored appropriately according to manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock movement, expiry dates, and batch details.
- Implement proper systems for FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) and stock management.
- Coordinate procurement and replenishment of medicines and pharmacy-related products.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, sales, stock, expiry, returns, and wastage.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of pharmacy registers and records.
- Monitor controlled/scheduled medicines and maintain required documentation as applicable.
- Coordinate with vendors, distributors, doctors, healthcare teams, and internal departments.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Drug & Pharmacy laws and regulatory requirements.
- Support pharmacy license and regulatory documentation processes.
- Conduct regular stock audits and identify discrepancies.
- Monitor medicine quality and ensure expired, damaged, or recalled products are appropriately segregated and handled.
- Handle customer/patient queries related to medicines and pharmacy services within the scope of professional practice.
- Prepare regular pharmacy operation, inventory, and performance reports.
- Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions.




- Train and guide pharmacy staff regarding SOPs, dispensing practices, documentation, storage, and compliance.
- Ensure the pharmacy follows company SOPs and quality standards.

Required Qualifications
- B.Pharm / M.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid Pharmacist Registration with the applicable State Pharmacy Council.
- Relevant experience in pharmacy operations, hospital pharmacy, retail pharmacy, or healthcare/pharmaceutical operations.
- Strong knowledge of medicines, prescriptions, dosage forms, storage requirements, and pharmacy practices.
- Knowledge of applicable pharmacy and drug regulations.
- Strong inventory and stock-management skills.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Good communication and team-management skills.
- Basic to good computer knowledge, including MS Excel, MS Word, email, and pharmacy/ERP software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Working Details
