Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management
- Maintain adequate stock of medicines, surgical items, consumables, and pharmacy supplies.
- Monitor minimum, maximum, reorder, and safety stock levels.
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of critical, emergency, and quick-moving medicines.
- Conduct daily/periodic stock verification and reconcile physical stock with system stock.
- Investigate and report stock shortages, excesses, and discrepancies.
- Monitor slow-moving and non-moving inventory and initiate appropriate action.
- Receipt & GRN Management
- Receive medicines and materials against approved Purchase Orders.
- Verify quantity, batch number, expiry date, MRP, purchase rate, GST, and other relevant details.
- Ensure GRN is completed accurately and within the prescribed turnaround time.
- Report shortages, damages, incorrect supplies, and rate discrepancies to the Purchase Team.
- Coordinate vendor returns/replacements wherever required.
- Storage & Stock Arrangement
- Ensure medicines are stored according to manufacturer recommendations and applicable pharmacy standards.
- Maintain proper segregation of tablets, injections, syrups, surgical items, consumables, and other categories.
- Ensure temperature-sensitive products are maintained under the required cold-chain conditions.
- Maintain temperature and refrigerator monitoring records.
- Ensure controlled/restricted medicines are stored securely with appropriate records and access controls.
- Expiry & Batch Control
- Strictly follow FEFO – First Expiry, First Out and FIFO principles wherever applicable.
- Regularly identify near-expiry products and initiate transfer, utilization, or vendor-return action.
- Prevent dispensing or distribution of expired medicines.
- Maintain separate quarantine areas for expired, damaged, recalled, or rejected stock.
- Coordinate expiry returns and obtain credit notes/replacements from vendors wherever applicable.
- Indent & Distribution Management
- Process approved indents from IP Pharmacy, OP Pharmacy, retail outlets, wards, and other authorized units.
- Verify stock availability before issuing materials.
- Ensure correct item, quantity, batch, and expiry during issue.
- Maintain proper documentation/system entries for every stock transfer.
- Coordinate replenishment to pharmacy outlets based on consumption and stock requirements.
- Purchase & Vendor Coordination
- Provide timely stock requirements and purchase requisitions to the Purchase Team.
- Follow up on pending and emergency purchase requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding shortages, replacements, expiry returns, damages, and credit notes.
- Monitor pending Purchase Orders and escalate delays that could result in stock-outs.
- Stock Audit & Control
- Conduct daily cycle counts and scheduled monthly/quarterly physical stock verification.
- Ensure system stock and physical stock are reconciled.
- Maintain records for stock adjustments with appropriate authorization.
- Support internal, finance, statutory,
and external audits.
- Implement corrective actions for observations raised during audits.
- Documentation & MIS
- Maintain GRN, stock transfer, purchase return, expiry return, damage, shortage, and stock-adjustment records.
- Prepare daily/monthly inventory reports.
- Generate reports on stock value, consumption, stock-outs, near-expiry stock, non-moving stock, and inventory variance.
- Ensure all pharmacy store documents are properly maintained and readily available for audit.
- Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with applicable Drugs & Cosmetics requirements, hospital SOPs, NABH requirements where applicable, and internal pharmacy policies.
- Follow approved SOPs for receipt, storage, handling, issue, return, recall, and disposal of medicines.
- Support product recall activities and maintain complete batch traceability.
- Ensure cleanliness, pest control, safety, and housekeeping standards within the pharmacy store.
- Team Supervision
- Allocate work to Store Executives, Store Assistants, GRN Entry personnel, and supporting staff.
- Monitor attendance, productivity, discipline, and work quality.
- Train team members on inventory practices, FEFO/FIFO, storage standards, documentation, and SOP compliance.
- Ensure proper handover between shifts and continuity of store operations.
Experience : 5-10 Year
Qualification: B.Pharm / D Pharm
Well knowledge in the Pharmacy Store.
Good Negotiation Power.
Other tasks as and when entrusted by the reporting line.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
