About us:

Parth Hospital is a psychiatric care facility in Vastrapur dedicated to safe, compassionate patient care and medication management. The in‑house pharmacy supports inpatient and outpatient medication needs and works closely with the clinical team.

Role summary:

The Pharmacy Assistant supports daily pharmacy operations by assisting the pharmacist with dispensing, inventory management, patient/customer service, and administrative tasks to ensure accurate, timely and compliant medication supply.

Key responsibilities:

- Receive, sort and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision; prepare and label medications for dispensing.
- Assist with dispensing psychotropic and other medications, ensuring correct dosing and counselling points are available for the pharmacist to communicate.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory: stock, shelving, expiry checks, returns, and re‑ordering alerts.
- Operate and maintain pharmacy record systems (electronic or manual), enter prescription and stock transactions accurately.
- Provide courteous front‑desk service to patients and visitors - handle enquiries, billing, and basic OTC sales.
- Support cold‑chain management for temperature‑sensitive products and follow storage instructions.
- Keep the pharmacy area clean,



organised and compliant with infection control and safety SOPs.
- Assist during audits, stock‑takes and with documentation required by regulators.
- Escalate medication discrepancies, suspected errors, or adverse event reports to the pharmacist immediately.

Qualifications and skills:

- Minimum: D.Pharm (Diploma in Pharmacy) or relevant certificate; candidates with B.Pharm or equivalent preferred.
- Registered with the Gujarat Pharmacy Council (or eligible to register).
- 0–2 years experience in hospital or retail pharmacy preferred; experience handling psychiatric medications is a plus.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, pharmacy/inventory software).
- Positive communication skills in Gujarati, Hindi and English.
- Attention to detail, reliable, honest, and able to follow written procedures and regulatory requirements.

Working hours and conditions:

- Typical shift: 9 hours (9 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 9 pm)
- Workplace: indoor, pharmacy environment with patient interaction and exposure to pharmaceuticals.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
