Job Role

St. Xavier’s High School, Deoghar is looking for a confident and committed English Teacher to teach Classes VIII–XII and help students develop strong skills in literature, grammar, writing, reading comprehension and spoken English.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach English effectively to Classes VIII–XII.
- Cover literature, grammar, writing skills and reading comprehension as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Develop students’ vocabulary, communication and spoken English skills.
- Plan and complete the syllabus within the academic schedule.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, question papers and revision material.
- Conduct tests, evaluate answer sheets and analyse student performance.
- Prepare Classes X and XII thoroughly for Board Examinations.
- Train students in proper answer writing, grammar, presentation and time management.
- Check notebooks, homework and written assignments regularly.
- Provide remedial support to weaker students and enrichment activities for advanced learners.
- Maintain classroom discipline and monitor academic progress.
- Participate in PTMs and communicate student performance to parents.
- Assist in debates, speeches, assemblies, anchoring, literary activities and school events.
- Perform examination, invigilation, substitution and other assigned school duties.
- Attend departmental meetings, staff meetings and teacher-training programmes.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in English from a recognised university.
- B.Ed. from a recognised institution.
- Strong command over written and spoken English.
- Sound knowledge of grammar and literature.
- Good communication and classroom-management skills.




- Previous experience teaching Secondary / Senior Secondary classes is preferred.
- Experience in Classes X and XII Board Examination preparation will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
