We are looking for a highly skilled Performance Testing & Performance Engineering Engineer to drive application performance assurance across enterprise applications, APIs, and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for NFR gathering, performance test strategy and planning, workload modeling, scripting, test execution, bottleneck analysis, and performance engineering recommendations using industry-leading tools such as JMeter, K6, LoadRunner, Python, and API Testing frameworks.

The candidate should be capable of collaborating with business, architecture, development, and infrastructure teams to ensure applications meet performance, scalability, reliability, and availability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Engineering & NFR Management

- Lead performance engineering engagements across multiple applications and platforms.
- Gather, analyze, and validate Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) including:

- Response Time

- Throughput

- Scalability

- Concurrency

- Availability

- Reliability

- Capacity Requirements
- Define performance acceptance criteria and SLAs.
- Conduct workload modeling based on business transaction volumes and user behavior.
- Develop end-to-end performance engineering strategy and roadmap.

Performance Test Planning

- Prepare performance test strategy and detailed test plans.
- Define test scenarios, workload distribution, and test data requirements.
- Perform risk assessments and identify critical business transactions.
- Design load, stress, endurance, spike, scalability, and volume testing approaches.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, DevOps, and business teams during planning and execution phases.

Tool-Based Performance Testing

Apache JMeter

- Design,develop, and maintain performance test scripts.
- Parameterization, correlation, assertions, and custom scripting.
- Execute distributed load tests and generate performance reports.

- Develop performance scripts using JavaScript.
- Integrate K6 into CI/CD pipelines.
- Execute API and cloud-native performance testing.

LoadRunner

- Create and maintain VuGen scripts.
- Execute performance tests using Controller and Analysis.
- Analyze performance bottlenecks and generate detailed reports.

API Performance Testing

- Design and execute API load and stress tests.
- Validate REST and SOAP API performance.
- Analyze latency, throughput, error rates, and server utilization.
- Work with microservices and containerized application environments.

Performance Analysis & Optimization

- Analyze application, database, middleware, and infrastructure metrics.

- Prepare test plans, execution reports, and executive performance summaries.

- Collaborate with architects, product owners, developers, and infrastructure teams.

- Experience in analyzing application, database, and infrastructure bottlenecks.
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
- Solid stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Performance testing of containerized applications (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts.
- Exposure to AI-assisted performance testing tools and observability platforms.
- Relevant certifications in LoadRunner, JMeter, Cloud, or Performance Engineering.
