The Teacher Coach, Learning Innovation Lab, will support the Lead and be responsible for bringing the programmatic vision of the Learning Innovation Lab alive by constantly aligning the team’s activities with the short, medium and long term project goals.

In this role, some of your responsibilities will include:

Stakeholder Capacity Building

● Observing lessons delivered by teachers and facilitating 1-1 debrief conversations to build reflective practice

● Executing school team meetings and training sessions based on the teaching-learning trends/needs identified

● Implementing training follow-up mechanisms to ensure absorption of teacher learning and shift in teaching-learning practices

● Co-observing classrooms with the HM and co-identifying data-driven priorities to be discussed with the teachers

● Supporting the school with effective execution of other academic activities towards strengthening foundational learning and teacher development

Impact Measurement

● Conducting baseline, end-line and any other dipstick student assessments in schools

● Tracking student outcomes on a periodic basis and identifying trends and gaps

Project management

● Ensuring diligent compliance to established project cadence structures

● Supporting the timely resolution of school/teacher-level challenges

Data Collection and Analysis:





● Enable Teacher Champions to collect and record data on teaching-learning practices and student learning during lesson observations.

● Use collected data to inform and improve instructional practices and student outcomes.

● Support teachers in guiding students to take ownership of their learning process through assessments.

Prerequisites include:

● A bachelor's degree or above, in any discipline

● At least 2 years of teaching experience and a strong understanding of foundational literacy and numeracy skills

● Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint;

experience of working with g-suite would be an advantage

● Strong conversational skills in Tamil, also being able to read and write Tamil would be an advantage

● Ability to travel within the district and to schools regularly.
