Role Description The OT Nurse Head at ArborVitae is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for overseeing the overall functioning of the Operation Theatre (OT). This role involves supervising nursing staff, coordinating surgical schedules, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and infection control guidelines.

The OT Nurse Head will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient workflows and high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Daily responsibilities include resource planning, maintaining equipment and supplies, monitoring documentation and compliance, and mentoring team members to uphold best practices. The role also includes continuous process improvement, staff training,



and participation in audits and quality initiatives within the OT.

Qualifications

- Strong leadership and team management skills, including experience supervising nursing staff and coordinating multidisciplinary teams in an OT or surgical setting.
- Clinical expertise in perioperative nursing, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care, with a thorough understanding of OT procedures and protocols.
- Knowledge of infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance standards, with the ability to implement and monitor compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Proficiency in OT workflow planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, including managing equipment, supplies, and documentation for surgical cases.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and administrative teams.
- Ability to train, mentor, and evaluate nursing personnel, fostering a culture of continuous learning and career development.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to handle emergencies and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Recognized nursing qualification (e.g., B.Sc Nursing or equivalent) with valid registration; advanced certification in OT nursing or perioperative care is an advantage.
- Previous experience as OT Nurse Head, OT In-charge, or in a senior perioperative nursing role in a hospital or surgical center.
