Role Summary The Oracle Lead will own the technical delivery of Oracle-based solutions for our insurance products and clients. You will lead a team, translate business needs into robust solutions, resolve business-critical issues quickly, and ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables. You will also use AI tools such as Claude to accelerate development and defect resolution.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, and delivery of Oracle-based solutions, enhancements, and defect fixes
- Provide quick, effective solutions to technical and business-critical issues
- Proactively understand business requirements and anticipate issues before they escalate
- Drive assigned tasks, change requests, and projects to completion with urgency and ownership
- Mentor and coach team members technically, building depth and capability within the team
- Set transparent expectations, track progress, and get consistent output from the team
- Ensure high-quality deliverables through code reviews, testing discipline, and best practices
- Own Oracle architecture decisions, including performance, scalability,



and maintainability
- Design and oversee API integrations and API gateway processing
- Use AI tools (especially Claude) to speed up development, debugging, and defect resolution
- Communicate clearly with business stakeholders, clients, and internal teams

Required Skills and Experience

Core competencies

- 9 to 15 years of experience, with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle
- Proven experience leading and managing technical teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong, result-driven leadership with a track record of driving tasks, changes, and projects to completion
- Ability to understand business requirements proactively and identify business-critical issues
- Strong ability to educate and upskill team members technically
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work consistently
- Insurance domain and business functional knowledge
- Solid understanding of financial transaction flows

Technology and hands-on

- Oracle (database, PL/SQL) and strong SQL
- Oracle architecture skills
- Oracle Reports
- Jasper Reports
- Cloud platforms, with AWS experience
- API integrations and API gateway processing
- Practical use of AI tools, especially Claude, for development and defect resolution

Good to have

- Java
- Experience with policy administration, claims, billing, or accounting systems in insurance

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field (Master's preferred)
