We are seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer and Database Administrator to join our IT Services team. In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will bridge the gap between complex application development and robust database management. The position demands a deep understanding of Oracle technologies alongside modern big data ecosystems like Hive, Impala, and HBase.
This individual will be responsible for ensuring high-performance database operations, optimizing query execution, and maintaining the integrity of our Linux-based infrastructure. The role is critical for supporting scalable data solutions and driving technical excellence within our service delivery framework.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize complex Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers to support business logic.
- Perform comprehensive database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrading of Oracle environments.
- Execute advanced performance tuning initiatives to identify bottlenecks and enhance the efficiency of database queries and system resources.
- Manage and maintain big data components such as Hive, Impala,
and HBase within the Oracle ecosystem.
- Develop and maintain Linux shell scripts to automate routine administrative tasks, monitoring, and backup procedures.
- Ensure data security, integrity, and availability through rigorous backup strategies and disaster recovery planning.
- Collaborate with development teams to resolve technical issues and implement scalable database architectures.

- Minimum of 6 to 10 years of hands-on professional experience in database development and administration.
- Proven expertise in Oracle PL/SQL programming and Oracle Database Administration.
- Strong proficiency in performance tuning and optimization of Oracle databases.
- Solid working knowledge of big data technologies including Hive, Impala, and HBase.
- Competent in writing and debugging Linux shell scripts for system automation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale enterprise environments within the IT Services sector.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic setting while adhering to strict security and compliance standards.
