Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle Database environments.

- Perform database upgrades, migrations, patching, cloning, and refresh activities.

- Monitor database health, availability, capacity, and performance.

- Perform performance tuning, including SQL tuning, query optimization, execution plan analysis, and database parameter tuning.

- Manage database backup and recovery using Oracle RMAN.

- Handle database failures, recovery scenarios, and production incidents.

- Work with Oracle RAC and Data Guard environments for high availability and disaster recovery.

- Manage tablespaces, datafiles, schemas, users, roles, privileges, and database security.

- Troubleshoot database connectivity, locking, blocking, space,



and performance-related issues.

- Perform database cloning and refresh activities across development, test, UAT, and production environments.

- Support production databases in a 24x7 setting and participate in on-call support as required.

- Perform root cause analysis for critical database incidents and implement preventive measures.

- Coordinate with application, infrastructure, storage, Unix/Linux, and other support teams.

- Maintain database documentation, SOPs, operational procedures, and technical records.
