- End to End DB monitoring on the setting (approx. 400 Instances)
- Oracle Database Patches Review and Installation
- Raise an SR and respond to Severity 1 and Severity 2 incidents
- Perform triage and troubleshooting of incidents described in SRs.
- Address resolution of Problems and Provide workarounds to restore services and maintain the SLA
- Perform sanity check on the Databases
- propose the Action plan: For changes executed by oracle DBA team for all other changes:
- Support Customer in analysis of any Plans of Action (PoA) provided by Customer before execution by customer.
- Provide inputs to customer to help identify plan risks and issues.
- Make recommendations to the plans based on Oracle’s best practices.
- Assist users in creating a mutually acceptable plan with mitigation plans for identified risks if required
- Ongoing Analysis of DB performance
- Weekly review of alerts
- DB purging and Archival (Customer shall provide the logic)
- Assist Customer with capacity planning on yearly basis
- Support in resolving backup related issues-
- Need based assistance on database restoration and recovery
- Track Production server utilization using OS utilities
- Identify hogging database sessions as reported by You
- Perform cleanup of stray Oracle processes
- Troubleshooting of performance issues by analyzing Automatic Workload Repository (AWR) and session events.
- Provide Standby creation
- Apply Database dot release update (version upgrade is excluded)
- Disk addition in Automatic Storage Management (ASM) database
- Gathering Logs
- Archive Log management
- Check database invalid dictionary objects
- Database initialization parameter changes on need basis
- Troubleshooting Locks and Latches
- Review Transparent Network Substrate (TNS) entries settings on need basis.
- Performance Tuning for Reports for CBS
- Following activities would be included:
- Analysis of current reports and query run times
- Review and identification of performance bottlenecks
- Provide recommendations for performance tuning
- Implementation of tuning recommendations under the purview of Oracle
- Implementation of DB Recommendations
- Implement DB recommendations. This excludes any recommendation that requires any third-party product and/or service and procurement of Oracle/non-Oracle additional
- licenses and/or hardware. Oracle shall not be responsible for delay on part of your IT team implementing such recommendations.
- Maintaining Database availability and Standby database syncing under SLA
- Making sure of no Application Service interruption due to db site issues like tablespace and mount point utilization
Oracle Database Audit Vault and Database Firewall (AVDF) Support:
- Check AVDF Server Status and Health
- Running Diagnostics Checks for the Audit Vault Server
- Support Issues on AVDF reports
- Provide recommendations for Scaling of Hardware / Space
- Register Hosts/Agent/Targets/Enforcement Points in the Audit Vault Server for AVDF Supported Databases
