Purpose of the role:

The purpose of the role is to operate diesel generator (DG) sets to provide backup or auxiliary power during grid outages or in remote locations without electricity. Responsibilities include ensuring a reliable power supply for critical equipment and operations. The role requires consistent adherence to high standards of safety, efficiency, and quality.

The role includes but is not limited to:

- Operate diesel generators according to load requirements




- Monitor generator performance and conditions
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks
- Ensure proper fueling and lubrication of generators
- Troubleshoot generator issues and faults
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of generator operations and maintenance
- Coordinate with maintenance technicians for repairs and upgrades
- Respond to emergencies and alarms promptly
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times

Qualification / Experience

Education

- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical certificate

- Knowledge of generator controls and settings
- Basic troubleshooting skills for generator issues
