Amylo is a Bengaluru-based biopolymer and compostable materials company developing sustainable alternatives to conventional plastic packaging.

We work on biopolymer formulations, polymer compounding, extrusion, and blown-film processing to develop compostable films and other sustainable polymer products.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Operations Trainee to join our production team at our facility in Nelamangala .

The primary focus of this role will be biopolymer extrusion and blown-film operations . The candidate will be trained on our processing equipment and will work closely with the R&D; and production teams during material trials and regular production.

This is a shop-floor, hands-on role and is suitable for someone who enjoys working with machines and wants to build practical experience in polymer processing.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in operating extrusion and blown-film processing equipment .
- Learn and operate extrusion equipment under supervision.
- Assist with biopolymer compounding and extrusion trials .
- Prepare and handle polymers, bio-based materials, powders, additives, and pellets.
- Carry out material feeding, mixing, weighing, and loading.
- Monitor extrusion parameters
- Assist with extruder start-up, shutdown, purging, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting .
- Assist with blown-film operation , including film bubble handling, thickness adjustment, winding, and material collection.
- Monitor film quality and identify basic defects during processing.
- Support R&D; trials involving new biopolymer formulations.




- Record processing parameters and observations from production trials.
- Assist with pelletizing, material collection, packing, and other downstream operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area and equipment.
- Follow all equipment operating procedures and safety requirements.
- Assist the team with other production and shop-floor activities as required.

Who We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is:
- Hands-on and comfortable working around machinery.
- Physically fit and comfortable with shop-floor work, standing for extended periods, and handling raw materials and equipment.
- Interested in learning polymer extrusion and blown-film processing .
- Willing to learn different types of work rather than being restricted to a single task.
- Observant and able to identify changes in machine operation or material behaviour.
- Responsible, punctual, and willing to follow instructions and safety procedures.

Experience & Qualification Freshers are welcome. No extensive industrial experience is required.

Candidates with any of the following exposure will be preferred:

- CIPET Graduates or trainees
- Production or manufacturing experience
- Plastics or polymer processing
- Extrusion or blown-film processing
- Compounding
- Injection moulding
- Experience operating industrial machinery




- Polytechnic/ITI/technical training
- College laboratory or practical exposure to extruders, polymer-processing equipment, or blown-film machines

A candidate who has seen or worked with extrusion machinery during college/training and is eager to learn is encouraged to apply.

Preferred Candidates

- Candidates based in Bengaluru are preferred.
- CIPET Graduates
- Candidates who know Kannada are preferred for effective communication on the shop floor.
- Candidates who can conveniently travel to Nelamangala will be preferred.
- Technical/engineering backgrounds in Polymer, Plastics, Mechanical, Chemical, Production, or related fields are an advantage.

Important This is not a desk-based operations role .

The candidate will spend most of their time on the production floor at our Nelamangala facility , working directly with extrusion and blown-film equipment and assisting with material processing and production trials.
