Job Summary

Moonglade Logistics is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage day-to-day logistics and freight forwarding operations. The role will be responsible for managing the operations team, coordinating with customers and logistics partners, ensuring timely shipment execution, controlling operational costs, and maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

- Manage and oversee end-to-end logistics and freight forwarding operations.

- Plan and monitor daily shipment, transportation, pickup, dispatch, and delivery activities.

- Ensure shipments are executed within agreed timelines and service requirements.

- Monitor operational performance and identify areas for improvement.

- Establish and maintain efficient SOPs and operational processes.

Team Management

- Lead, supervise, and support the operations team.

- Allocate daily responsibilities and monitor team performance.

- Train team members on operational processes, documentation, systems, and customer handling.

- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

- Ensure effective coordination between operations, sales, accounts, documentation, and management teams.

Customer &

- Vendor Coordination

- Maintain strong relationships with key customers and logistics partners.

- Handle escalated customer issues and ensure timely resolution.

- Coordinate with transporters, shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders, CHA/customs agents, warehouses, and other vendors.

- Negotiate and coordinate with vendors to ensure service reliability and cost efficiency.

- Monitor vendor performance and address recurring service issues.

Shipment &

- Documentation Control





- Monitor import/export and domestic shipments from booking through final delivery.

- Ensure shipment documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.

- Track shipment delays, detention/demurrage, delivery exceptions, claims, and other operational issues.

- Ensure proper system updates and maintenance of operational records and MIS.

Cost &

- Performance Management

- Monitor transportation and freight-related operational costs.

- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.

- Review vendor bills, freight charges, and operational expenses.

- Prepare and analyze operational MIS, KPIs, and management reports.

- Monitor metrics such as on-time delivery, shipment accuracy, customer complaints, turnaround time, and operational costs.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of freight forwarding, transportation, logistics, and supply chain operations.

- Good understanding of import/export processes and documentation.

- Strong leadership and team-management skills.

- Excellent customer-handling and negotiation abilities.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Good knowledge of MS Excel, ERP/TMS/WMS, and logistics systems.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualification &

- Experience

- Graduate/MBA in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.

- 5–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in freight forwarding, 3PL, transportation, shipping, or logistics.

- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a team-lead/managerial operations role preferred.

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,300,000.00 per year
