Our client is looking for a hands-on, systems-oriented and disciplined Operations Manager to take ownership of day-to-day hotel/property operations and ensure that operational issues are tracked through to closure.

We are looking for someone who strongly follows the operating principle:

Own → Plan → Execute → Follow Up → Escalate → Close → Report

About the Role The Operations Manager will oversee property operations, quality control, SOP and checklist implementation, guest complaint resolution, maintenance follow-up, interdepartmental coordination and operational task tracking.

Practical working knowledge of AI is mandatory — particularly for task extraction, reporting, operational analysis, SOP/checklist drafting and summarising guest feedback.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee day-to-day hotel/property operations and ensure smooth functioning of operating departments.
- Develop and implement a daily property inspection system .
- Conduct physical inspections of rooms, public areas and operational facilities.
- Create and maintain a live operational pending-task tracker .
- Design and implement room/public-area inspection checklists.
- Establish and monitor a maintenance defect and closure tracker .
- Implement a structured guest complaint tracking and closure system .
- Follow up with relevant departments to ensure timely closure of operational issues.
- Conduct regular SOP and checklist compliance checks .




- Generate daily exception reports and highlight critical/pending issues.
- Identify recurring operational problems and drive corrective actions.
- Coordinate effectively across departments to ensure smooth property operations.
- Maintain strong ownership, follow-up and closure discipline.
- Use operational data and guest feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
- Leverage AI tools for:
- Task/action-item extraction
- Operational reporting
- Operational analysis
- SOP and checklist drafting
- Guest-feedback summarisation
- Identification of recurring issues

Required Experience & Skills

- 8–12 years of relevant experience .
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing hotel/service operations or multiple operating departments .
- Strong hands-on experience in hotel/property operations .
- Experience in physical inspections and quality control .
- Strong understanding of SOP and checklist implementation .
- Proven experience in guest complaint resolution and closure .
- Experience coordinating and following up on maintenance issues .
- Strong interdepartmental coordination skills.
- Excellent task tracking, follow-up and closure discipline.
- Practical working knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot or equivalent .




- Ability to use AI for operational tasks, reporting, analysis, SOP/checklist creation and guest-feedback analysis.
- Good working knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets .
- Familiarity with hotel PMS/POS systems .
- Strong communication, problem-solving, ownership and reporting skills.

Education

- Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management / Hospitality preferred.
- Graduates from other disciplines may be considered if they have substantial relevant hospitality/service operations experience.

Preferred

- Candidates with experience managing multiple operating departments.
- Experience in hotel, hospitality, property or service operations.
- Preferred age: Under 40 years.
