Company Description DB RRTS Operations India Private Limited is a Special Purpose Vehicle under Deutsche Bahn International Operations GmbH, part of the DB E.C.O. Group, responsible for the operation and maintenance of India’s first regional rapid transit system, branded as NaMo Bharat. The company holds a 12-year contract to manage the Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut RRTS corridor, covering 82.15 kilometers, 25 stations, and two depots, with full commissioning targeted by 2025.

DB RRTS will operate 40 trains on this corridor and maintain the associated rail infrastructure, working with a professionally trained team of around 350 operations and maintenance staff. Role Description The OHE Engineer is a full time, on-site role based in Ghaziabad, responsible for the operation and maintenance of the overhead electrification (OHE) systems along the RRTS corridor. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting and monitoring OHE infrastructure, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring adherence to safety, electrical, and rail industry standards. The role involves coordinating with maintenance teams and operations staff to plan outages, support incident response, and minimize service disruptions.





The OHE Engineer will analyze faults, propose technical solutions, and maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, asset condition, and compliance records. The position also requires participation in audits, technical reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and performance of the electrification system.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of overhead electrification systems, including design principles, components, and maintenance practices for high-speed or mainline rail.
- Solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, power systems, and high-voltage safety procedures.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, test equipment, and relevant software for fault analysis and condition monitoring.
- Experience with railway standards, safety regulations, and permit-to-work systems in an operational rail environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals for OHE and related infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capability to work effectively under time and operational constraints.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for coordination with operations, maintenance, and safety teams.
- Relevant engineering degree or diploma (Electrical or related discipline) with prior experience in rail electrification or similar heavy infrastructure preferred.
