Role Description The Occupational Therapist at Delhi Public School Varanasi will work on-site in Varanasi in a full-time capacity, supporting students’ functional, cognitive, and social development within the school setting. The role includes assessing students’ needs, designing individualized intervention plans, and implementing therapy sessions to improve skills related to self-care, classroom participation, motor coordination, and sensory integration.

The Occupational

Therapist will collaborate closely with teachers, school counselors, administrators, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily classroom routines and co-curricular activities.

Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate documentation, monitoring progress,

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills and formal training in Occupational Therapy, including assessment, intervention planning, and school-based rehabilitation.

- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Candidates should possess foundational understanding of Medicine related to child development, neurodevelopmental conditions, and physical health concerns impacting learning.
- Recognized degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution; national or state registration/licensure as applicable.
- Experience working in educational or pediatric clinical settings, preferably with diverse learning and developmental profiles.
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) or similar support plans and integrate therapy goals into classroom activities.
- Strong record-keeping, observation, and report-writing skills, with proficiency in basic computer applications.
