Role Description This is a full time, on-site Nuclear Medicine Technologist role based at KIMS Hospitals, Bengaluru East.

The Nuclear Medicine

Technologist will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, and operate relevant imaging equipment in accordance with established protocols.

Responsibilities include verifying patient identity, explaining procedures, ensuring radiation safety, and monitoring patients during and after studies. The role involves collaborating with nuclear medicine physicians and other clinicians to support accurate diagnosis, maintaining detailed documentation,



and ensuring proper calibration and quality control of equipment. The technologist will also follow infection control and hospital safety policies, participate in continuous learning, and contribute to a patient-focused care environment.

Qualifications

- Certification and professional registration skills: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent nuclear medicine technologist certification, with valid licensure where applicable.
- Core technical and clinical skills: Nuclear Medicine and Radiopharmaceuticals expertise, including preparation, handling, administration, and imaging protocols.
- Safety and compliance skills: Radiation Safety knowledge, adherence to ALARA principles, and compliance with regulatory and hospital safety standards.
- Medical and patient-care skills: Understanding of Medicine, patient assessment, and ability to explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation.
- Educational background: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiologic Technology, or a closely related field.
- Additional beneficial skills: Experience in hospital-based nuclear medicine departments, familiarity with quality assurance processes, PACS/RIS systems, and documentation standards.
- Professional attributes: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow protocols, effective communication, teamwork skills, and commitment to ethical, patient-centered care.
