We are looking for a creative, responsible and deadline-oriented Video Editor who can transform raw news footage and newsroom inputs into professional, engaging and visually consistent content that represents the Samachar Diary brand.

JOB SUMMARY The Video Editor will be responsible for editing breaking news, daily news reports, interviews, field reports, special stories, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other digital video content. The candidate must be able to work quickly during breaking-news situations while maintaining accuracy, quality and Samachar Diary's visual identity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Edit daily news videos, breaking-news videos, interviews, reports and special stories. Create engaging Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Facebook videos. Edit Gujarati news content with appropriate visuals, subtitles and graphics.

News, Flash News and News Update videos according to Samachar Diary's branding.

Add Samachar

Diary logo, watermark, headlines, lower-thirds, captions and branded graphics. Maintain consistent use of Samachar Diary fonts, colors, logo placement and visual style. Select relevant footage, photographs and supporting visuals for news stories. Synchronize voice-over, reporter audio, footage, graphics, music and sound effects.



Edit reporter packages and field-reporting footage. Coordinate with the News Input, Bulletin Producer, News Anchor, Social Media and Graphics teams. Verify on-screen names, locations, headlines, dates and other information before final delivery. Produce urgent video content during breaking-news situations. Adapt videos into different formats for Instagram, YouTube and other digital platforms. Maintain organized project files and ensure proper storage of completed videos. Meet newsroom deadlines and handle multiple assignments when required. SAMACHAR DIARY BRANDING RESPONSIBILITIES The Video Editor will be expected to protect and maintain the professional identity of Samachar Diary across all video content.

The editor should ensure: Correct Samachar Diary logo usage. Consistent brand colors and typography. Professional branded intro/outro where required. Consistent lower-third and headline design. Proper logo/watermark placement.

Consistent breaking-news graphics. Professional subtitle and caption formatting. Consistent visual style across Instagram, YouTube and other platforms. No unauthorized alteration of Samachar Diary branding.

All published videos maintain a professional news-channel appearance. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent professional editing software.



Knowledge of Adobe After Effects will be an advantage.

Basic knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator or Canva for news graphics. Understanding of 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1 formats. Knowledge of Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts specifications. Basic knowledge of color correction and audio mixing.

Ability to perform basic noise reduction and audio cleanup. Knowledge of subtitles, captions, lower-thirds and motion graphics. Understanding of video resolution, codecs, frame rates and export settings.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Candidates with experience in any of the following will be preferred: News channel Digital news media YouTube news channel Social media agency Production house Television/broadcast production Gujarati digital media Experience creating Gujarati news videos and short-form news content will be an added advantage.

REQUIRED SKILLS Excellent video-editing skills. Strong visual sense and storytelling ability. Good understanding of news content. Quick editing and quick turnaround capability. Ability to work under strict deadlines.

Attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple editing assignments. Creativity in creating engaging short-form content. Ability to work as part of a newsroom team. Willingness to handle urgent breaking-news assignments.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION Diploma / Bachelor's degree in: Mass Communication Multimedia Animation Film & Television Graphic Design Video Production or a related field Relevant practical experience and a strong portfolio may be considered in place of formal qualifications.

Pay: ₹19,800.00 - ₹29,800.00 per month
