Role SummaryWe are looking for an experienced NPD Electronics professional to lead the design and development of new electronic products from concept to mass production. The role covers hardware design, prototyping, testing, certification, and coordination with manufacturing and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end NPD lifecycle: concept, feasibility, design, prototyping, validation, pilot run, and mass production.
- Design and review schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and electronic system architecture.
- Select components and manage vendor and supplier development for cost, quality, and availability.
- Drive design for manufacturability (DFM), design for testability (DFT), and cost optimization (VAVE).
- Plan and execute product testing: functional, EMI/EMC, environmental, reliability, and safety.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards (BIS, CE, FCC, RoHS, IEC/UL, as applicable).
- Work with firmware, mechanical, and industrial design teams for smooth product integration.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation: design specs, test reports, ECNs, and manufacturing files.
- Support production teams with root cause analysis (RCA), field failure analysis, and corrective actions.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and cross-functional coordination.




- Mentor and guide junior engineers and the design team.

Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech (Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation) is mandatory; M.Tech preferred.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in electronics product design and NPD.
- Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, power supplies (SMPS, LDO), and microcontrollers.
- Proficiency in PCB design and schematic tools (Altium, OrCAD, KiCad, or similar).
- Experience with lab equipment: oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, DMM, etc.
- Solid understanding of EMI/EMC, safety standards, and certification processes.
- Experience taking products from prototype to mass production.
- Good knowledge of BOM costing, sourcing, and vendor management.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with IoT, embedded systems, wireless (BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa, GSM), or motor control.
- Familiarity with SPICE simulation, signal integrity, and thermal analysis.
- Exposure to Agile/Stage-Gate NPD processes and PLM tools.
- Experience in consumer electronics, industrial electronics, EV, lighting, or medical devices.
