About The Role

WorldWide Technology Holding Co, LLC. (WWT) is seeking a highly skilled Lead / (SME) Network Engineer for a remote, long-term contract position. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic and innovative environment, providing expertise in complex network solutions. As a Lead / SME Network Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and deployment of network infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet business requirements and adhere to architectural standards.

You will work closely with global support teams to facilitate smooth transition into operational support, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to achieve project objectives. This role demands a proactive approach, strong technical expertise, and excellent leadership skills to guide projects from inception to completion.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of demonstrable experience in leading, designing,



and implementing complex network solutions within regulated industries or large enterprise environments. You should have a proven track record of operating as a Lead Engineer on large-scale programs, providing technical leadership and progress updates to executive teams. A deep understanding of multiple network technologies, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, is essential.

Effective communication skills are critical for explaining complex solutions clearly to stakeholders at various levels.

Certifications such as Cisco CCIE Enterprise, FortiGate Professional, or F5 LTM/GTM at Certified Technical Specialist level are advantageous. Additionally, familiarity with a broad range of networking technologies and tools will enhance your suitability for this role.

Responsibilities

- Serve as a subject matter expert in two or more network technologies, maintaining a working knowledge of other network disciplines used by the organization.
- Scope, plan, and lead large transformational programs and network-led initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and architectural standards.
- Design, build, and deploy scalable, secure, and reliable network infrastructure solutions that meet business needs.
- Produce detailed low-level designs, supporting documentation, and implementation plans.
- Work collaboratively with global support teams to facilitate the transition of solutions into operational support, ensuring smooth handover and ongoing management.
- Ensure compliance with governance, change management,



and risk management policies across all network activities.
- Engage with internal stakeholders and external vendors to coordinate project delivery, manage expectations, and resolve issues promptly.
- Provide accurate workload estimates and delivery timelines, maintaining transparency and accountability throughout project lifecycles.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues efficiently.
- Make informed, confident decisions to improve project delivery, mitigate risks, and enhance network performance.
