About The Role

WorldWide Technology Holding Co, LLC. (WWT) is offering an exciting opportunity for a Lead / Subject Matter Expert (SME) Network Engineer on a remote, long-term contract basis. This role is designed for a highly experienced network professional who can lead complex network projects, provide expert guidance, and ensure the successful delivery of enterprise-grade network solutions. As a Lead / SME Network Engineer, you will act as a technical leader within the team, contributing to the development of standards, designing scalable network architectures, and overseeing end-to-end project execution.

You will collaborate with global support teams to transition solutions into operational support, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a deep technical understanding of various networking technologies.





Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess more than 10 years of demonstrable experience leading, designing, and implementing complex network solutions within regulated industries or large enterprise environments. Candidates should have a proven track record of operating as a Lead Engineer on large-scale programs, guiding technical teams, and providing progress updates to senior leadership. Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Enterprise, FortiGate Professional, or F5 LTM/GTM at the Certified Technical Specialist level are highly advantageous.

A strong ability to consolidate knowledge from multiple sources into comprehensive end-to-end solutions, along with excellent communication skills, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive approach to workload and time management, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

- Serve as a subject matter expert in two or more network technologies, with a working knowledge of other network disciplines used within the organization.
- Scope, plan, and lead large transformational programs and network-led initiatives, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and business requirements.
- Design, build, and deploy scalable network infrastructure solutions, ensuring they meet current and future business needs.
- Develop detailed low-level designs and supporting documentation that are fit for purpose and compliant with organizational standards.




- Collaborate with global support teams to facilitate smooth transition of solutions into operational environments.
- Maintain compliance across all network disciplines, including governance, change management, and risk mitigation.
- Engage with internal stakeholders and external vendors to coordinate project activities, resolve issues, and achieve project milestones.
- Provide accurate estimates for workload, delivery timelines, and resource requirements.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, making well-judged decisions to enhance project delivery and mitigate potential delays.
