Aga Khan Education Service, India is looking for a Multi-Skilled Technician to support the maintenance and upkeep of school facilities and infrastructure.

The incumbent will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting and minor civil works, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable functioning of school buildings and supporting infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and minor civil works.
- Troubleshoot equipment and building system failures and undertake corrective actions.
- Conduct regular facility inspections and identify maintenance and safety issues.
- Support maintenance of classrooms, laboratories, hostels, dining areas, sports facilities, offices and common areas.
- Assist external contractors during major repairs, annual maintenance and renovation projects.
- Maintain maintenance records, equipment logs, inspection checklists and spare-parts inventory.
- Support preventive maintenance scheduling and asset tracking through CMMS.
- Ensure compliance with electrical, fire safety, sanitation and other applicable safety requirements.
- Respond to maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution.




- Support school events by ensuring facilities and equipment are operational.
- Follow established SOPs and maintain protected housekeeping standards in maintenance areas.

Candidate Profile

- ITI / Diploma / Trade Certification in a relevant technical discipline.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in building maintenance or facilities operations.
- Experience handling multiple maintenance trades, particularly electrical, plumbing, HVAC and civil maintenance.
- Ability to read technical drawings, equipment manuals and documentation.
- Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with staff, contractors and service providers.
- Experience in schools, universities, hospitals, hotels or large commercial campuses would be relevant.
