Role Description The Mould Designer will work full time on-site at the Daman facility, collaborating closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities include designing injection and blow moulds for plastic components, preparing and revising 2D and 3D drawings, and optimizing mould designs for manufacturability, durability, and cost-efficiency. The role involves reviewing product requirements, selecting appropriate materials and mould components, and coordinating with tool rooms and vendors for fabrication and modifications.

The Mould

Designer will also support troubleshooting during trials, update design documentation based on feedback, and ensure all designs comply with company standards and safety guidelines. Daily work requires hands-on interaction with production lines,



periodic inspection of moulds, and continuous improvement of existing designs.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in mould design using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks only ) and experience creating detailed 2D/3D models and assemblies.
- Knowledge of plastic processing (injection, blow, or extrusion moulding), mould components, tolerances, and manufacturing processes related to tooling and machining.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements, and translate them into practical, production-ready mould designs.
- Experience in design validation, mould trials, root-cause analysis for defects, and implementation of design improvements for quality and cycle-time optimization.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Making, or a related field; professional experience in mould design within plastics or related industries preferred.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams under project timelines.
- Basic understanding of quality standards and safety practices in industrial manufacturing; familiarity with ISO or similar systems is an advantage.
- Willingness to be based on-site in Daman and to engage in hands-on involvement with production and tool room activities.
