About IND The Institute of NeuroDevelopment (IND) is a mission-driven organisation working with children with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences and their families.

As IND grows across programmes, services, parent engagement, assessments, operations and digital initiatives, accurate and well-structured data becomes essential to effective decision-making and execution.

We are looking for an MIS Executive – Data Operations & Database Management who can ensure that organisational data remains accurate, complete, consistent, structured, accessible and usable.

This is a hands-on data operations role requiring strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and comfort working with large datasets and multiple digital systems.

Role Summary The MIS Executive will be responsible for maintaining and improving the quality of IND's operational data and databases.

The role will involve

- Data entry and updating
- Data validation
- Data cleaning
- Duplicate identification
- Data reconciliation
- Database maintenance
- MIS reporting
- CSV preparation and bulk uploads
- Data extraction and transformation
- Cross-system data verification
- Identification of discrepancies
- Supporting operational teams with accurate information

The person will work with data originating from multiple teams and systems and will often need to identify missing information, trace discrepancies and coordinate with the relevant team members to resolve them. The role requires accuracy first, but not accuracy alone. The candidate should also be able to understand patterns in data, identify recurring problems and suggest ways of improving the underlying data processes.

Key Responsibilities1. Data Operations

- Maintain organisational databases and structured datasets.
- Enter, update and organise information according to defined data structures.
- Ensure that records are complete and appropriately formatted.
- Maintain consistency across databases and reporting systems.
- Process data received from different teams and sources.
- Ensure timely updating of operational records.

1. Data Validation & Quality Control

Regularly identify and resolve:
- Missing records
- Duplicate records
- Incorrect IDs
- Incorrect or inconsistent names
- Mismatched information
- Missing fields
- Invalid formats
- Data entry errors
- Inconsistent categorisation
- Records that do not reconcile across systems

Establish appropriate validation checks to minimise recurring errors.
1. Data Cleaning & Reconciliation

- Clean large datasets while preserving data integrity.
- Reconcile information across multiple files or systems.
- Compare source data against master databases.
- Identify discrepancies between datasets.
- Investigate the source of inconsistencies.
- Coordinate with relevant team members to obtain missing or corrected information.
- Maintain appropriate records of corrections where required.

1. Database Management

Maintain structured databases relating to areas such as:
- Leads
- Enquiries
- Webinar registrations
- Webinar attendance
- Programme enrolments
- Parent/client records
- Assessments
- Sessions
- Staff
- Recruitment
- Operational activities
- Other organisational databases

Ensure that databases follow approved structures, naming conventions and access controls.
1. MIS Reporting

Prepare regular and ad hoc MIS reports as required by the organisation.

This may include

- Operational reports
- Programme reports
- Attendance reports
- Lead reports
- Enrollment reports
- Conversion-related data
- Team performance data
- Data-quality reports
- Management dashboards

- Other management information

Reports should be accurate, clearly structured and delivered within agreed timelines.
1. Spreadsheet Management

Work confidently with large datasets using:
- Microsoft Excel
- Google Sheets

The candidate should be comfortable using:
- VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP
- INDEX-MATCH
- COUNTIF / COUNTIFS
- IF / IFS
- FILTER
- SORT
- UNIQUE
- Pivot Tables
- Conditional Formatting
- Data Validation
- Other relevant spreadsheet functions

The ability to structure data efficiently and troubleshoot spreadsheet errors is important.
1. CSV & Bulk Data Operations

- Create and validate CSV files.
- Prepare data for bulk uploads.
- Follow predefined import formats.
- Validate files before upload.
- Identify errors that may cause upload failures.
- Support bulk data migration or updating where required.
- Maintain appropriate versions of bulk-upload files.

1. Data Collection & Completion

Work with different teams to ensure that required information is available.

This may involve

- Identifying missing information.
- Contacting relevant team members.
- Clarifying discrepancies.
- Following up for incomplete records.
- Verifying information before updating the database.
- Maintaining appropriate documentation of unresolved data issues.

The objective is not simply to report that information is missing, but to help bring the dataset to a usable state.
1. Cross-System Data Management

Work with information across platforms such as:
- Google Drive
- Google Forms
- Google Sheets
- Zoom
- Google Meet
- YouTube
- LMS platforms
- CRM systems
- Other internal databases and operational platforms

The candidate should be able to understand how information flows from one system to another and identify where discrepancies arise. 10. Data Security & Confidentiality The role may involve access to sensitive organisational and client information.

The candidate must

- Maintain confidentiality.
- Follow approved access controls.
- Avoid unauthorised sharing or downloading of data.
- Follow organisational data-handling procedures.
- Maintain appropriate file permissions.
- Exercise caution when using external tools or AI systems with organisational data.

11. Process Improvement The MIS Executive should not merely correct the same errors repeatedly. Where recurring data problems are identified, the person should:

- Identify the pattern.
- Investigate the likely cause.
- Recommend improvements to the data collection process.
- Improve validation mechanisms where authorised.
- Suggest changes to forms, templates or database structures.
- Help reduce recurring manual correction.

This is an important part of the role as IND's data systems mature. 12. AI & Automation

- Data analysis
- Data cleaning assistance
- Transcript processing
- Information extraction
- Data classification
- Operational documentation
- Repetitive data-processing tasks
